Irit Heimann

Irit Heimann.PNG

Irit Heimann lives and creates in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Since a small age, Irit has always been curious about the contrast in things. She was fascinated by cultural symbols and textures.

Her works are characterized by precise painting work, full of details and colors - made with acrylic and oil paint on canvas.

Through her unique work, Irit Heimann manages to give the viewer a nostalgic experience wrapped in a contemporary look of intense colour, humour and aesthetics.

The combination of yesterday’s world (traditional, naive and innocent) and today’s complex reality – is presented to us in the form of the loved Russian doll - the Matryoshka.

The childlike nature of Heimann’s works express hope, dream and innocence used as an inner expression of her personal experiences; they manage to produce an infinite world of details within a stable and closed composition. At first glance, the contrast between the old world and the new and modern one seems simple, yet is actually a complex array that Heimann produces in her work.
